How He Proposed
His version (The right version - Matt):
He did it on a mountain.... But really he took her to Palm Springs to hike Mount Jacinto(This was a date spot at one point). She obviously knew what going on and definitely made him work for it. But in the in he managed to find a a secluded spot overlooking the city of Palm Springs and Cathedral City... But was interrupted by a family of Canadians.... After talking and taking their photo, he was once again ready to pop the question. As she sat on the rock above, he carefully reached into his pocket and pulled out the ring! Lifted it into the air and asked! Will you Marry me?
Her version:
I found the box the night before the trip.. luckily it was empty so I didn't spoil the surprise of the ring but knowing that he was going to ask made the trip more fun. That weekend the park was popular because there was plenty of snow to play with. Matt kept trying to go to secluded areas, where he wanted to ask more privately. But I wanted to torture him a little longer and would always just walk away ("distracted by something") when he would start to get nervous. He finally got his break at one of the viewpoints. I knew that he hates when I walk up to the edge of rocks to look down so I deliberately sat on one of the rocks by the edge. To his credit, he followed me and sat next to me (even though he usually just waits for me to come back). He was about to ask when a Canadian family comes around and starts asking us questions. They were going down to San Diego after this and wanted some good recommendations so I got distracted with talking to them. Matt, however, was relieved when they left and went ahead and just asked me while we were both sitting on the edge of the mountain.
How We Met
His version (Also the right version - Matt):
We first met at UCSD. I applied for a job at Special Events Parking and was turned down. A week later they changed their mind and I was in. My first assignment was to sit in an info booth and be trained by her. When i got there she was annoyed by my amazing company since she wanted the time to do homework. But I being the social butterfly started talking and asking questions. Much to her chagrin, she put the books down and humored me. From there it took off!
Her Version:
We met at work. I was assigned to work at UCSD information booth for an evening shift, which was usually a slow shift. That quarter I was taking Calculus, and was struggling to understand the concepts, so I had hoped to use the time in my shift to do my homework for the class. Instead, Matt comes in and I am assigned to train this newbie who started two weeks from the rest of us. To this day none of our friends let him forgot that he is our junior. After that, we didn't really talk much but after we started to take a class together, he really started to "pursue" me. He would use the excuse of our class to come over to "study" and instead he would just sit around in my apartment, eat my food, and have a place on campus to hang out and wait out the traffic. JK, because of work and school we talked a lot and were good friends before we became a couple.
